Natural Chimney House by Onix Architects

The Chimney House in Bosschenhoofd, the Netherlands, designed by Architects, Onix, is an example of modern wooden house. The design of this house is very simple: a central master volume, a rectangular plan and gable roof. The most important are the chimneys Chimney House (hence the name of the house) because the architects wanted to praise a factor which, unfortunately, is disappearing from modern homes. In this project, family house of the chimney has been used in different sizes and shapes and with different functions.

Before the implementation of this project in this area, there were old warehouses that have been dismantled to make way for new construction. Only a building will be left intact the roof supported by pillars and walls removed so as to establish the recovery of volume to be used for parking and storage for the wood for the fireplace. The peculiarity of the Chimney House is also the location: the woodlands to the south a sound from the island and at the same time creates a shady, north instead surrounded by farmland.

Do not miss the relationship between internal and external, that this house is very strong: the large windows allow a transport to the external environment, contaminated by nature.
